All our Biomass Bags use Australian grown Brown Rice with nutritious bran layer is not removed when milling for substrate. Brown rice is naturally gluten free. Rice is soaked overnight rinsed and drained on racks. The grain is bagged in 2kg gusseted autoclavable polypropylene with 0.2 micron filter patch. The substrate is autoclaved @15psi 120C for 2 hrs cooled and inoculated with our own high-quality fresh spawn.
